Investigating the role of technology in augmenting the human. With a focus on electrical muscle stimulation, I explored the effect of actuating technologies on the human in communicating notifications and learning motor skills.
My role involved supervising master and bachelor theses as well as being involved in the teaching activities.
IoTAssist (funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research): I explored the potential and challenges of combining IoT devices to create novel applications that help to improve the users' health and well-being.
ComIC ("Computing for Intercultural Competence" - funded by the German Academic Exchange Service): I organized workshops, hackathons, and other events that brought together students from Germany and Egypt. Also, I managed the exchange students visiting Essen for their Bachelor's theses from the German University in Cairo, Egypt.
